The junk food items (calzones, McMuffins, etc) were brought with the merger, not from either side, but were most likely new items to cheapen the service.

Just to be clear, the junk food items your refer to came clearly from the CO side. UA never served the Jeff McMuffin, 7-Eleven Burritos, or Hot Pockets.
