Avios Compensation for a delayed flight
While travelling from ORD-LHR-BOM in Y,my flight from LHR was delayed by almost 4 hours. After sending numerous mails asking for the 300 Euro compensation under EU261 which was as expected denied. The given reason was a mechanical problem discovered on the plane after the plane landed during its previous flight. Now during the time we were made to wait, we were told boarding should start soon and this went on for almost 3 hours and then we were made to sit in the plane for almost an hour.
So i told them am not happy and that i was planning to go for silver this year which I might not now. I am a Bronze right now.And they credited 6000 Avios to my account. Should i push for more?
I am filing a claim via EUclaim anyways.
