Very much agree with your points. I'd add:

- spg.com and it's mobile apps are lightyears ahead of Hyatt and they matter to me.
- Hyatt lounges are generally better: nicer decor and wider variety of food & beverage. Less of a zoo than your typical Sheraton too.
- Hyatt's bedding generally sucks.
- Hyatt lacks the 'cool factor' that W's and Le Meridien's have, especially destination restaurants and bars. I know that is a good thing for some who like the generic nature of Hyatt's dining establishments.
- I prefer the Hyatt Diamond amenity over the SPG Platinum Amenity: points and F&B choices are far better with Hyatt.
- I like that some Hyatt's waive the resort fee for Plat & Diamond members (Palm Springs)
- Awards stays count towards everything except promos at SPG, and that is a big plus.
