Ultimately the GA should have followed protocol and processed your upgrade and sent the other passenger back to coach rather than buying time. I doubt she will ever do it again.
What should you do? Post the flight info and someone might PM you with some observations. A quick note to CS might get you some sympathy and miles but other than that nothing.
This wasn't T-10, this was T-40.
The ticket can be re-issued after the fact. The main concern is verifying the eVIP/SWU balance.
OP, question. If you had a SWU and really wanted F, would you have done this if you learned A was available?
