First time in the new "refurbished lounge" and have to agree. Woeful and worse than the old BMI lounge. They have merged the old BMI lounge with the older smaller DAA lounge but have don't very little actual refurbishment, it just feels cheap and tatty and not relaxing in the way the old BMI lounge felt(probably because it is now much busier).
It's weird because I actually quite like the DAA lounge in Terminal 2 and think they did a good job with that one. Not sure why they couldn't have refurbished this lounge to the same standard.
I hate the DAA T2 one. I was in the new one in T1 recently and it was not too bad. Then again it was not busy. It was nothing special. The best lounges at DUB are EY in T2 and EI in T2. The others are forgettable and you would be better to go to the Chocolate Lounge in T2 if you have time then head back to T1 before boarding. I rarely fly BA out of DUB these days opting instead for BHD which has a lovely lounge refurbed and direct boarding.
