We won't really bring much luggage. The goal is mainly make a bit of tourism on the west coast. A few clothes (and a computer ^^) might be all we need.

I think we will take a fullsize (I fear for gas consumption with IFAR cars!). I was looking at compacts because their gas consumption is much lower. And we live in Chicago right now. So LA is not quite the next door.

But I agree, we will need to drive comfortably.
