Winterhaven has very small rooms. VERY SMALL. They also don't have connecting rooms despite what their website says.

I would stay at the Marriott. They are about 8 blocks away from each other.

Marriott also has a lounge where the Winterhaven Doesn't. Marriott also has a balcony in most rooms and some have pull out couches.


EDIT: Just saw the Marriott is now Category 9 so it isn't a true equal decision in terms of points used.
