There are a bunch of hotels around LHR, all accessible via the Hotel Hoppa bus service run by National Express. GBP 4.50 each way if you pay on board, or GBP 4.00 bought in advance.
The local buses from the central bus station (near T1 and T3) are both free and usually more frequent (until about 20:00 at night) and faster than the Hotel Hoppa. The Hotel Hoppa is both overpriced and a poor service (most of the time).

Hotels like the Arora, Holiday Inn (Sipson Way/Bath Road), Park Inn, Renaissance, Thistle, etc, all the way out to the Sheraton Skyline and beyond, can all be reached by those buses. My personal favourite (if you get a good rate) is the Holiday Inn simply because it's the closest (but the comment about the U3 above is relevant, it means the bus service back is as infrequent as the Hotel Hoppa )
