I've got two options choosing an award flight from YWG to LIM in J (with Aeroplan). Both have one tight connection (I have to make two stops as Air Canada doesn't have seats available YYZ-LIM). Not sure which one gives me the best chance to arrive on time...

The first involves a 45 minute connection in San Salvador (from YYZ -AV to AV). Not only is this tight, it is in March, so a late inbound flight is a distinct possibility. I understand there is no security to clear in SAL, but 45 minutes seems really tight... Since this is one of the last flights out, if I can't make a connection, I will be delayed a whole day.

Second option is a connection in Cancun (from AC to Copa). I would have 2.5 hours, but transit passengers in Cancun have to go through Immigration, Customs, collect their bags and then re-check them at the airline counter. There is also I chance I would have to switch terminals.

Not sure of my best course of action...
