This does not surprise me. I imagine she works for a distributor who is very light on Malbecs in their portfolio. Given the growth Malbec has been having in the US over the past 10 years, this is a relevant "fault" in this distributors portfolio... although I will also blame Wines of Argentina for not doing enough to make sure all relevant US distributors know more about this grape and the in-roads it has made in the US market.
Or maybe one that is skittish when seeing WMD on the calendar, and not investigating an alternate meaning.
