Lately due to fog at CHC, the PER-CHC flight has been diverting to WLG. While at the airport I have heard over the Av Sec radios, preparations for the diversion. Due to Customs Officers being still on duty I believe the passengers are cleared in WLG but cannot confirm if this is true.
Passengers whose final destination was WLG, as well as folks who were connecting to Dunedin and possibly one other destination where a connection in WLG was possible, were allowed to permanently deplane and were led by security to go through immigration in WLG and then either head to wherever or catch their final flight to Dunedin and maybe one other.
