Very interesting read, thank you for posting. In the ideal world, I think I'd fly A318 to the States and then return UD in the 747, though it can be tricky to arrange it that way. That return to London would normally be overnight, so it's a good way to get sleep and comfort, but since there is no daytime A318 on the NYC-LHR service, then UD 747 would also be good for the day time flight too. That leg would be the only one I'd be OK to have NF First, I actually prefer the CW product in the A318 and night time UD 747 - in particular - over First.
