I know the shop that you are speaking of and it is good as well, but Tenkaippin is only a block and a half from the PO, past the watch corner for Yodobashi Camera on the left. I love it because of the thick pork bone marrow broth and the superb gyoza. You can find Tenkaippin by putting the address,
"1 Chome- 15-9 Nishishinjuku", into google maps and executing "Street View", and then rotating to the right. It is the shop with the red "Rising Sun" logo with a white slash across the center.
Unfortunately, Tenkaippin is very popular with salarymen who routinely pack it full after 8 PM, and smoking is de rigeur for them. I always arrive well before 8 to avoid the smoke.
