Also to add that BOS-SFO is probably one of the toughest routes for CPU in UA's system. As a 1K member with >25 times on this route in the past, I have only scored 2 BOS-SFO upgrade (and one of them was due to a no-show in the last minute) and many times I was not even within the top 10 for the upgrade.
Typically agree, although the SFO-BOS I was on this past Monday (to be fair, late afternoon flight that got in at 1 AM) had only 3 people not clear left on the list! But yes, I typically see upgrade lists 40+ deep.
