Flew AC 854 YVR-LHR in J last Thursday. Mrs. TD and I had seats 5H&K. It was very nice being able to talk during the initial service and meal, I prefer this configuration to the regular pods. I found the seats weren't as comfortable as the pods, there are fairly limited adjustments available and I couldn't find a setting that suited me. I kept activating the controls with my arm and turning on the massage feature. IFE was better, but wasn't as good as UA's or Air NZ's. Pretty poor storage options available too. I found the lie-flat position to be much inferior to the pods, but I did manage to sleep for a few hours. I'm only 5'8", I think anyone taller would feel rather jammed in there. In general, I wouldn't mind this plane on a daytime flight when traveling with someone else, but I'd go out of my way to avoid it on an overnight flight.
