Try CI from LAX-TPE-BKK. When doing my search earlier this year, this routing/carrier had the best availability. The wife and I were finally able to get PDX-LAX-TPE-BKK then BKK-SGN then HAN-TPE-LAX-PDX. All over a 2.5 week period in November for 140k each in J.
