LX op. by Helvetic Airways and "business class"
Dear Swiss Lurker:
Business class on the Avro have been known for some time now to have no blocked seating on the 2X seating side of the aircraft.
Also Helvetica aircraft have no blocked seating in business class.
It is not possible from a Swiss itinerary or etix to understand if a flight is operated by Helvetica or not.
My request is it is not reasonable to sell "business" class and then have seating with no blocked seat. I also think it is reasonable that if flights are "operated by Helvetica on behalf of Swiss" this is mentioned on the etix.
Can you please pass these requests along?
In addition- why on earth are the preferred seating for HON/SEN/FCI on the 2X seating side of the aircraft ensuring these passengers end up with the seats not blocked?
Once again this week I had this happen. So let's recap what the differences are in business class from economy:
1) A small sign at the last row of business class attached by velcro to the seat that reads "Swiss business class"
2) A bus on arrival at ZRH for transit to the terminal
3) A bottle of water on boarding
That's it. If your marketing department is wondering why you are not selling more business class on these routes perhaps ask them to fly it one day and ask if they would pay even one more euro or swiss franc for this product? Remind them they will receive less miles in business class with a Z fare than with a Y fare.
It really is unfair to the customer to take their money in this way. The last time I sent a complaint about this was a year ago and I was told this was being "worked on". Whatever work is being done on this should really be sped up.
