The conference and the dinner are all about the industry. There are FFers there for the dinner but that is a vestige of Randy being generous and inviting them. They sit in the back and mostly stay separate from the industry folks in the room.
The Summit was supposed to be a crossover event, hatched during the couple years where the Freddies were run at the FTAwards. It was an event which kept some people in town for the day between the conference and the FTU that weekend. It no longer quite fills the same role.
