Do not get involved yourself. By all means, assist her in writing a concise letter describing the situation and what she expects (being realistic so taking the advice that M&M mileage isn't realistic), which can be submitted through the feedback portal. But don't have it come from you - involving yourself is going to complicate matters and is more likely than anything just going to confuse the customer service rep. that receives the letter rather than help.
