Can't say for sure, but I'd be surprised if award seats were ever released for that leg. The flights are expensive. Flying around mainland Ecuador is cheap (UIO-GYE as low as $50-ish O/W). I assume the Galapagos flights subsidize the mainland fares for the three airlines that do the routes, as well as subsidize the fares for Galapagos residents.
Ecuador used to have another domestic airline called Ícaro. In its final attempts to stop hemorrhaging money, its CEO came up with the idea to do swimsuit fashion shows up and down the aisles of its GPS flights. It didn't draw enough passengers to keep the airline from going under. Ícaro is "Icarus" is Spanish. Why would anyone name an airline after the mythological character who fell into the sea?
