Involuntary changes to award ticket booked pre-OneWorld

I had an F award ticket booked a few months ago which included a couple of segments on Asiana going NRT-ICN-JFK. A couple of days ago I got a call from US Airways about a schedule change. Turns out that Asiana canceled the NRT-ICN flight and put me on a different one which resulted in a misconnection with the ICN-JFK one. I asked US Air to put me on an earlier NRT/HND-ICN/GMP flight, but their response was that, a) since it's Asiana that canceled the flight, they are responsible for re-accommodating me, and b) if I wanted US Air to change my flights they could only book me on NRT-LHR-JFK on BA, which is definitely not what I want. I also called Asiana twice and they insist that because the ticket was booked through US Airways it's their responsibility to adjust my flights so that everything lines up. When I asked whether US Air would be able to change my flights to stay on Star Alliance ones, they said it would be okay because the ticket was booked pre-merger and if they had any questions they should contact Asiana directly.

So, it's a bit of a mess. My main goal is preserve the ICN-JFK segment because that's why I booked the whole trip. Should US Air be able to change my connecting segment to an earlier time to stay on Asiana or ANA?
