GA boards, peeks around the closet to veriify that the seat's empty, tells the lead FA that she's going to UG someone in row 11, walks back to get him, brings him up, briefcase goes in the bin, he sits down, door closes. We left the gate 6 minutes early. For a point of reference as to how full the flight was, it was Y1 as I boarded. No delays. No drama. Made a PM very happy!

Can anyone post an UG story that actually caused the flight to depart late?
With all the padding that they have added to the schedules over the years to improve "on time" performance, one would think that there would normally be a sufficient buffer to allow GAs to provide the "space available" UGs that the flyer worked so hard to qualify for.
