In other words, immediately after checking bags, you will go through security, then passport, then train to gate,then one last check of your passport/flight info prior to boarding. THEN you can board the plane...

I'm even more confused now. I've
never had to go through the procedure that you described (bolded above by me). Maybe you are thinking about the process if you are connecting thru ZRH, but when ZRH is my starting point, I have not had to do what you described and have always been allowed on the plane.
