- bathroom was fully functioning (unlike some of the posts above)
- got the cookie
- $67 room rate
- pleasant front desk staff

It did appear that the Honors lounge was closed, I assume permanently, but not sure.

Net, not a hotel I'd go out of my way to stay at, but certainly one I would return to, particularly at the $67 rate.
Had a RON last night on a LIFO flight connection, $79.20 MVP rate, plus nearly $12 in taxes.

Once I called the van took ten minutes to fetch me (DFW-A31) and the ten minutes trip to the property was uneventful. The van is helpfully provisioned with small, chilled bottles of water in a cooler.

Check in by the brightly lit lobby in what is obviously (I think) a rebadged property, was fast, and I was given a room on the eighth "HHonors" floor, which has a door marked "HHonors Lounge" that seems to be unused weekends (it looks like the door to a room). No cookies, but they gave me a small bag of pretzels, a Twix bar, small (tiny) water bottle, and a chit for a $4.00 discount for breakfast.

The dated room was clean, insufficiently lit (mostly gooseberry lamps with a Deco lotus appearance), LCD TV, desk, coffee and tea machine, mini fridge, kinda Jetsons look overstuffed armchair with arm tables and some kind of electric massage facility. The Air conditioning is governed, so once you turn it on, regardless of what you set it for, 72F is what you'll get. Yes, the bed is made up with a duvet. Soundproofing between rooms and rooms and hall is next to nonexistent.

The bathroom is partitioned into a small, not well lit sink area that is quite narrow, provisioned with the usual Citron amenities, and a separate small room with toilet and shower bath. The water is unregulated, and can vary from very cold to scalding instantly and without manual intervention. Ouch! Brr! Ouch again!

Breakfast is an "eh!" buffet, continental or hot, with Ann egg station. Your average HGI is better, and the biscuits and gravy are just nasty - with a watery gravy with nary a sausage bit or redeeming factor. Service is pleasant but uncoordinated and can be dreadfully slow, both in terms of service and posting to your room.

Checking out I was asked "did you get the bill I put under your door?" (No.) A half hour after breakfast the bill had not updated, and the only offer was for emailing my final bill.

The (booked the night before) 8:00 van was not there at 8:10, and they had to call for the driver. As I left, I noted the property was filled with participants attending a low end weekend conference.

Executive summary: close to DFW, decently priced, but there are too many better properties at rates not much higher that will undoubtedly provide a more satisfactory experience, and better Diamond and Gold recognition. A $4 chit for a quite mediocre $17 breakfast is really poor, as is being time-slovenly in an airport hotel.
