That was an Andriod auto-correct issue.

You're right that I missed the point about the possibility of being denied the right to travel with a battery (or device that vaguely resembles a standalone battery) whatsoever. If this were to happen to me, I guess I would escalate the matter. At least in China, regulations of this sort are always documented (very ambiguously at times, but the correct procedures are surely outlined in a clear enough form to pick them apart and set things straight).
