Well the complaint was that the availability has disappeared altogether, which has repeatedly been shown to be false.

I don't know how anyone could be surprised that saver-level award availability is harder to find - it's to be expected, not just on UA. Wide open availability on attractive flights doesn't make any sort of good business sense.
