I've never understood the logic behind Child/Infant fares. With Military, the flexibility of being refundable makes sense, and to a lesser extent the same applies to Senior fares perhaps. But with Child/Infant, if you're going to need to cancel the child, the adult would likely not be flying either. I do suppose they offer some savings for last-minute bookings and/or when WGA isn't available… but otherwise I don't see much benefit to the pax. I suppose it does benefit WN in the perception to the uninitiated that they offer such "family-friendly" discounts.
