I haven't heard of phantom JL availability, but even if it does it still leaves us in the same position - no definitive way to check, that isn't going to change. So the best you can do is use a combination of JL and non JL sources I suppose and make the call. If the agent says no, they might be wrong, they might be right or let down by their systems. Again, this is nothing new in our dealings with US. At the moment we are in this honeymoon (probably not the right word!) period where they can easily trot out the excuse...it's not loaded yet. Knowing US and their IT, who knows when the DM system will reflect the regular availability system.
