EY ticket, KL metal, seat?
a travel agency booked a EY returnticket AMS-AUH-KTM in Y for me (in the cheapest booking class too, oh my...). AMS-AUH, AUH-KTM and KTM-AUH are on EY metal, and I've been able to book a exit-row seat at least.
The last leg, AUH-AMS is on KL metal (EY coded). I've not been able to select a seat through EY (because it's KL metal), and KL won't accept an upgrade with miles, because it's an EY ticket (and a cheap one at that).
Is there any way I can improve my situation - select a decent seat, upgrade to C, anything?
