So not as nefarious as we all hoped/thought to make the story better. Good to hear it was a mistake. Still not okay. That means someone wasn't paying any attention to the hang tag numbers or name of the renter. Take the points the hotel offered if you think it's enough because there's probably zero chance the valet company can do anything for you. Maybe free valet service from them for a year if you stay in that area often!
