This is the reason for doing online checkin so you have 24 hours or so to studyy the boarding pass and ask questions to the checkin staff if you are not clear about what the boarding time is.

I love it when airlines print the time the gate closes on the boarding card as well as when it starts. This way I know when to arrive to the gate.
