So, Hertz is at it again.

I use an AMEX when I rent but pay with a debit card (USAA) and for the *4th* time this year, a single swipe has resulted in a dual hold in my account.

Hertz's response: wait 3-5 days for it to drop.

Ha! To a President's Circle? No more. I'm taking my business elsewhere. You are HOLDING my money, yet instead of trying to fix a REOCURRING problem we were told was fixed, they tell me I have to wait. If it was there money, they'd have the cops at my door or send me a nasty note demanding the return of their car.

So please: check your bank accounts to ensure you aren't being double held too! I'm going to contact Mastercard and see how high I can complain, this is against the merchant account terms and being told to just "wait" is NOT acceptable. I'm taking my business elsewhere now. I've converted my last 2 rentals to all points, so I'm burning off 6000 points as quick as I can and saying goodbye. My President's Circle card is going to find its way to the garbage dump here in Zurich.
