I was being facetious. The AFT is an easy way to accelerate spending to meet 90 day minimum spend requirements. If one reviews the AGC thread, there are some pretty obvious clues regarding how to avoid losing money (albeit at the cost of time and effort.) And if you can find a surcharge free ATM, you can reduce your cost further.

So $75 x 3 = $225 gets you 60k of Delta points.
You can get an extra point/mile if you use an Arrival card.
