It's ridiculous that to earn Avios on an airline owned by IAG you have to go through hoops and credit to an Iberia account and transfer the points over.

OK, Iberia Plus cardholders probably couldn't earn on bmi during their IAG ownership, but bmi was always temporary and was to be folded into BA.
