The Focus was dropped form C to B last year, which is odd as it is indeed in the same class now as the smaller Fiesta. Whilst it is consistent with the Golf also being a B, the other cars in B are all smaller, cheaper (and mostly nastier), so if you get a Golf or Focus, view it as getting a C car for the price of a B. Not that there is usually more than about a buck between B and C pricing anyway.
I definitely agree that the Focus should appropriately be a ICAR... The Corolla is an ICAR and I find that the Focus is a nicer equipped car (although I hate the side mirrors and almost caused me to crash)... In the ICAR category, I would say that Elantra is probably my favorite... Really didn't like the Dart, Corolla, Focus, and Sentra
