The changes today have minimal (North Asia business awards mileage increase) to no impact on me (pretty much else). I do have significant concern over what else might be lurking however.
As to loopholes, as an example I suspect widespread blogger attention to "Two Award Tickets for the Price of One" on awards involving international gateways is probably unhelpful for the long term availability of such benefits as we're seeing.
