It may be obvious but.....

When everyone keeps saying "wasn't activated".

I know on the receipt where it says ACTIVATED. (I've never encountered a situation where it didn't say that.)

You know it wasn't activated means you check balance and it has no transactions. Therefore 0 money. Versus a transaction that adds money to the card at the tie of purchase.
