Similar yet different situation situation last week. Sitting in 3F on a CRA. The person in front of me (bulkhead) asks if it's ok if she puts her roll aboard under her seat (it was already there as she boarded ahead of me). I look and it is taking ALL of the available space leaving no room for my laptop bag. I of course say I do mind please ask the FA to put it in the closet. She does and then comes back and doesn't ask but announces that she is putting her small bag under her seat.

It made for a nice footrest. I hope there was nothing breakable inside.
