I just ask what I would do if I wanted to detect MS in my customers, and while looking at multiples of various prices (503.95 VR, 504.95 GC and 505.95 seasonal GC or supermarket GC) might be a very first guess, it's pretty obvious that that is unnecessary.
My first attempt would be something like:
If more than 5 purchases above $400 in 5% categories per month for 3 or more months, then Investigate.
Now they don't appear to do this, but they certainly don't do multiples either.
