Too bad the introduction of AUH preclearance was not postponed until the Global Entry kiosks were working. Until they are activated, AUH preclearance will remain a detriment (not an advantage) for passengers carrying a Global Entry card.
No idea unfortunately. As a GE cardholder, it's incredibly frustrating to have a single line for all passengers. At the very least it would help to have a US Residents line to minimize the wait times for the quick-processing of US passport holders. Some passengers were with the frontline agents for 10-15 minutes for processing.
AT LEAST the massive line does lead to a single end point whereby the next-in-line is assigned to the next available agent (via monitor), so you're never stuck in a position whereby you have to guess which line will process fastest. Still a bad experience all around.
