Ticket counter hours are different than check-in hours.

The check-in counter is open about 3 or 4 hours before scheduled departing flight on its metal. No point to get there before 4 pm for an 8 pm AA flight to Miami or wherever.
Most major international branded hotels in Buenos Aires grant me free 2-6 pm late check-out and are willing to store bags while guests are out and about for the day on the day of check-out.
The EZE lounges aren't worth hanging around in for more than you have to do.
