TSA Admits to Breaing Baggage Lock...with a twist...

I flew out of RDU earlier this week and checked a bag with a TSA-approved lock.

When I picked up my bag at ATL, the lock was gone.

I looked through the bag and found the "Notice of Baggage Inspection" card. Taped to the card was my broken lock.

Written, in pen, at the top of the note was "Sorry about your lock. Our #7 key wouldn't work."

I appreciate the communication, but this lock is relatively new and I've never had an issue with it before. The hand-written note basically admits that the TSA's equipment used to open the lock (#7 key) would not work.

Any chance of Uncle Sam sending me a new lock? Anyone heard of this before?
