I searched, including hours of google, but couldn't find an answer. I saw the threads about making an In N Out run from SFO and LAX but I am finding myself with an overnight in SJC in a couple of weeks. Never had an In N Out and I see there is one right near SJC, kind of at the end of the runways.

I know in LAX, you can grab the Parking Spot shuttle but is there anything similar at SJC? I don't see any hotels in the vicinity and it seems out of the way for parking or car rental shuttles. I am staying at a Marriott nearby but it is in the opposite direction.

Never had one and have been dying to try. So how can I get there from the airport? Is cab the only option? It seems a pretty short ride so not sure a cabbie would be thrilled at the fare. I wonder if my hotel shuttle would make a detour? . I arrive about 8pm so not sure if it is safe to walk (female). I'd ideally like to go right from the airport but could go to the hotel first if that's easier.
