Yes, you aeronautical engineers (and I mean the qualified ones) please state what is wrong with some (what appears to be) duct-tape on the leading edge of a metal (?) prop? I assume the prop is balanced (static/dynamic) with tape on the other blades... I do want fact/science based feedback on this, not speculation and guffaws from armchair engineers willing to give an opinion based on nothing scientific ...

May I suggest (to readers) this was a temporary "fix" to get the aircraft to a place where there were spare props... I have personally flown in aircraft with duct-tape on the "leading edge" of a Piper with the tape covering a "hole" in the fabric. Got us out of a tough place. Don't ask how the hole was made, but it was certainly a hole... Happened in WW II many times I am sure.
