There is a lot of reading to do... it can be overwhelming, but doing the research will pay dividends in the end.First, I would figure out what you want to achieve. You can piece together a CC strategy that will fit your goals, be they traveling first class around the world, flying domestically on the cheap, or just maximizing cash back opportunities. After you figure out what you want to do with the points and miles look further down the forum to the credit cards forum and look at some of the sticky threads to get an overview of cards to see if they fit your goals. There are a lot of CCs out there and not every one of them will suit your needs. Also, as you mentioned with the CVS going cash only for VR, the game changes all the time, so look into the MS forum as well to see what opportunities are available to you. Some folks are devastated because they can no longer buy VR at CVS and others are completely unphased by it because they could never buy them in the first place. It's all YMMV (You Mileage May Vary)
