I've seen people hanging around security, but I've never been concerned. I assume they were waiting for other people, but should I be concerned? Has anybody been the victim of a post-security pickpocket, who selected their target based on what they're putting through the scanner?

TSA does so frequently. "Hanging around" at "security" is the perfect job description for TSA.
