SAN-LAX-JFK-LCY and timetable changes

So here is my story, a long one, apologies in advance.

I have a trip planned in July, the return involves the following flights:
SAN-LAX 0625-0720
LAX-JFK 1000-1840
JFK-LCY 2145-1000*

The middle flight was originally to EWR but was changed a while back and I was happy to be put in First Class on the LAX-JFK A321T. I’d like to keep this flight instead of making changes to it.

So, AA have now changed their timetable again and the SAN-LAX early morning flight no longer operates. The suggested alternative is 0845-0930. It seems strange that AA have discontinued this service completely.

The LAX-JFK is now operating 1005-1900.

This gives me a 35 minute connection at LAX. This is a legal connection. C_W_S did mention that this was doable in a recent thread with regard to AA ‘mainline’ connections, however the SAN flight arrives into the commuter terminal and a bus is needed to transfer (airside) to T4.

I asked BA to change the LAX-JFK to the next flight 1105-2000 which the customer service agent did without problem. There was no mention of the two hour Minimum Connecting Time at JFK which I am now breaching. I think this connection is achievable (1hr45).

A few days later I missed a call from BA. I suspect the ticketing agents spotted the problem. They put me on the BA182 to LHR to allow a valid connection.
I phoned again today and asked to be put back on the BA004 which was done so we will see what happens.

Questions:
1. Will AA bring back an early morning SAN-LAX flight?

Let's say I stick with the 1005-1900 LAX-JFK and BA004:
2. Is 35 minutes achievable at LAX for my flights?
3. If I miss the connection at LAX, what are my options? I guess I would be put on the 1105 flight but would they insist on changing my NYC-LON too? Or because of the difficulties would they not care about MCTs at the point?
4. If they did change me to the BA182 in LAX could I ask to be changed back to the BA4 on arrival, on time etc, at JFK?

I might just accept the BA182 flight now and get everything confirmed and not be worried about connections and changes on the day.
5. Could I request original routing credit at this point if I take this option?
