Make sure the GC is loaded. Call the 800 number on it and verify the funds are there.
How much is the gift card worth? Make sure you tell the clerk at WM the right amount.
Some clerks at WM just don't know what they are doing.
Try a different WM. This should work, but people report sporadic problems everywhere. Keep trying, eventually you'll get it.
