I have landed in Damascus about 14 years ago. BA cancelled my flight, the next 2 days were Chag, and without looking too closely, I agreed they could rebook me the following day.
Then they rang me back to say that I had ordered KSML, did I know the flight went through Damascus.
I told the crew I wouldn't get off under any circumstances, moved to a different seat (manifest listing KSML), and admit to having been slightly nervous.
