Price Guarantee for Subset of Passengers on PNR?
Story - I have 4 flights booked under one PNR for my family, SEA->FLL RT.
I did a quick search for price of 1 ticket for same flights and dates, and it's lower than what I booked for, so I wanted to do a price guarantee. However, it said only 3 tickets left at that price (for the return segment).
I searched for price for 4 tickets and confirmed the lower price wasn't available at the 4 person mark, but it did show up for 3. (It would be nice if AS search showed the cheaper or average price for subset of folks, btw. ITA displays prices as averages in this case, so it confuses me sometimes).
So just to see, I tried to do a price guarantee, and it didn't let me since I it said I already had the lowest price possible.
Anyway to make this work? If I had them split PNR into 3+1, would it let me do price guarantee for the group of 3? Or can I call in instead of doing online and they'd have more flexibility?
(And not to sound greedy, but if it matters, I already had one price guarantee come through on this trip @ $50/ticket. This would lower it another $45/ticket. Guess I booked too early! Is there a limit to times you can do price guarantee, btw?)
